LG G2 will land on 6 Canadian carriers, wireless charging on Verizon

updated 06:17 am EDT, Fri August 16, 2013

European customers to also have G2 wireless charging via accessory

More details concerning the launch and charging of the LG G2 have been revealed. Six carriers will be offering the smartphone in Canada, while wireless charging has been touted for the Verizon variant and also for European carriers, though the version crossing the Atlantic will not have the capability built into the device.

Bell, Rogers, SaskTel, Telus, Videotron, and Wind Mobile will all be stocking the device in Canada, and will offer the same 3,000mAh battery and 32GB storage as used in the American model, according to Engadget. In the US, Verizon claims that its own model will have wireless charging as an exclusive, according to its website, with slight changes also made to the rear buttons. The European model, according to Pocket-Lint, will not have wireless charging built-in, but instead will have it as an accessory case, using the Qi wireless standard.

LG has yet to reveal exact release dates and pricing for regions other than South Korea.
