'Non-final' HTC One Max render appears, 'Change' campaign launches

updated 05:10 am EDT, Mon August 12, 2013

Leaked promotional image consistent with device photo leaks

A "non-final artwork" promotional render of the HTC One Max has leaked online, showing what the final device could look like. The render comes at the same time as the manufacturer reveals a new brand marketing campaign starring Robert Downey Jr. that will commence on August 15th in key markets around the world.

The new render, shown by evleaks, is accompanied by a comment stating that this is not the final artwork for the phone, meaning that a later, more accurate version is on the way. Though it provides no details as to its internals, such as its rumored 5.9-inch display or its 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, it remains relatively consistent with earlier leaked photographs of the HTC One Max. A launch of the HTC One Max is believed to occur sometime next month.

The new "Change" marketing campaign will last for between two and three years, with Downey Jr. signed up for two. The first advertisements will show the Iron Man star demonstrating what HTC could stand for, with Hipster Troll Carwash and Humongous Tinfoil Catamaran being offered as examples. While initial advertisements will focus on the company brand rather than smartphones, mobile devices will be featured in the campaign further down the line.
