Launch expected on August 20
Samsung's ATIV Book 9 Plus notebook has appeared in retailer B&H Photo-Video's inventory list alongside a $1400 price tag. The product page, which was spotted by Engadget, shows the basic configuration with a 1.6GHz Core i5 Haswell processor and integrated graphics, though all variants share the premier feature: a 13-inch 3200x1800 display.
The Book 9 Plus display resolution and pixel density are slightly higher than Toshiba's 2560x1440 Kirabook and Apple's 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro, which sports a 2560x1600 panel. Google also offers a high-resolution notebook, the Chromebook Pixel, with a 12.85-inch 2560x1700 display.
The basic ATIV also ships with 4GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD, with a Core i7 chip and other upgrades eventually arriving for custom configurations.
B&H is currently taking preorders for the Book 9 Plus, with an expected ship date of August 20, though Samsung has yet to officially announce the release date.
