Devices designed to boost audio from typically small HDTV speakers

Audio accessory manufacturer Vizio today announced today three new additions to its portfolio of home audio solutions with the 29-inch and two 38-inch sound bars in various home theater configurations. Joining Vizio's audio ranks are a new 29-inch 2.0 Home Theater Sound Bar, a 38-inch 2.0 Home Theater Sound Bar with Integrated Deep Bass, and the 38-inch 2.1 Home Theater Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer.

The 29-inch 2.0 channel Home Theater Sound Bar can be used as a standalone wireless sound system using built-in Bluetooth to stream music from compatible mobile devices without the need for a TV. The 29-inch 2.0 sound bar packs 95dB of audio into a small package. Adding low-end frequency typically missing from today's thin HDTVs, the 38-inch 2.0 configuration provides 98dB of audio and enhanced bass performance. The 38-inch 2.1 Home Theater Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer is rated at 100 dB, adding bass to movies, music, sports and games, delivering an improved home theater experience.

The 29-inch Home Theater Sound Bar model S2920w retails for $80. The 38-inch Home Theater Sound Bar with Integrated Deep Bass model S3820w will be available in late August for $120. The 38-inch S3821W Home Theater Sound Bar will also be available late August for $180.
