Google Catalogs app to shut down on Aug 15

Google has announced that it will no longer be supporting the Google Catalogs iOS and Android apps as of August 15. Yesterday, users of the app began receiving in-app notifications alerting them of the imminent shut down. However, the service will remain accessible in some form, as Google plans to keep all of the information accessible through the Catalogs web interface. This shutdown comes close on the heels of other Google apps including Google Latitude, Google+ Local, and Google Shopper.

Pinterest update adds new Pin It shortcut

An updated version of the iOS Pinterest app featuring a new shortcut for pinning items has been launched in the App Store. To pin things in v2.6, users can simply press and hold on any other pin and then slide their finger to the new Pin It button in the popup menu. The shortcut works anywhere in the app, including the home feed, other peoples boards or when looking at a pin close-up. In addition, the update also adds a Edit Home Feed feature for quickly adding and removing items form the home feed.

How about pulling the plug on Google+ next? Maybe it's too late now since it's forcefully integrated into my blood vein.

Google+....... I still don't get it. Perhaps Google++=x will help me solve the confusion.
