New lines have multitouch displays, Intel and AMD processor options
Toshiba has unveiled some new additions to its catalog of notebooks. The 14-inch Satellite E45t Ultrabook and 15.6-inch Satellite E55t and E55Dt models from the Satellite E series are mid-ranged systems that introduce 10-point multitouch support, with the Intel-based versions offer Dragon Assistant voice control and Intel Wireless Display, and the AMD models using a quad-core A6 APU with Radeon graphics.
The new notebooks have storage options going from 500GB to 750GB, while the rest of the specifications list state they will have a resolution of 1366x768, HDMI-out, Ethernet, SD card readers, two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, dual-band Wi-Fi, and stereo speakers with DTS sound. The larger 15.6-inch models will also include a numeric pad, something that is missing on the smaller 14-inch version.
The 14-inch Satellite E45t will be available from August 4th as a Best Buy retail exclusive for around $800, while the 15.6-inch models will be coming out in September, though the price has yet to be determined.
