Tilting rear LCD, Wi-Fi, NFC touted on new Micro Four Thirds camera

Panasonic will be adding a tilting electronic viewfinder to the upcoming Lumix GX7, according to images in a German photography magazine. The follow-up to the Micro Four Thirds Lumix GX1 will also apparently have a tilting three-inch display on the rear, Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity, and have image stabilization located on the 16 or 18-megapixel sensor.

Reports from 4/3 Rumors based on an image from and other sources suggest that the electronic viewfinder will be a 2.76 million-dot version, that it will have a 5fps burst mode, and a maximum shutter speed of 1/8000. It will also have a built-in stereo microphone, along with a retro-style appearance that uses a magnesium body.

While it is expected to ship in September, it is believed to cost around 1,000 euro ($1330) for the body alone.
