Dual-core 1.4GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB storage in HTC One Mini

HTC has revealed the rumored smaller version of its flagship HTC One. The HTC One Mini uses a 4.3-inch S-LCD3 display with a resolution of 1,280x720, both smaller and a lower resolution that the 4.7-inch Full HD 1080p screen in the original, and while it retains most of the physical design aspects of the HTC One, the Mini opts for polycarbonate on the sides and front with aluminum on the back.

Inside is a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 running at 1.4GHz with 1GB of RAM, with 16GB of non-expandable storage included. An identical 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera appears on the back with a BSI sensor and ImageChip 2 processing, while the front has a more-normal 1.6-megapixel shooter. BoomSound audio via dual front speakers makes a return, though the NFC capabilities of the HTC One couldn't make it into the Mini. Connectivity over LTE, HSPA+, HPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0 make the transition, though the battery has been cut down to a 1,800mAh version.

HTC will be shipping the HTC One Mini to "select markets" from August, though it is not known if the US is one, followed by a global launch in September. Pricing remains unknown.
