Nokia preparing Lumia 625 for launch in China with 4.7-inch screen

Chinese regulator provides images of new mid-range Lumia

Nokia is preparing another Windows Phone device for the China market, according to a TENAA filing. The Lumia 625, rumored as a mid-ranged smartphone back in May, appears to have disappointing specifications paired with a 4.7-inch display, which some say is the largest screen Nokia has put in a phone to date.

Inside the Lumia 625 is 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, and a 2,000mAh battery, according to Liveside. On the back will be a 5-megapixel camera, while on the front is a smaller VGA camera, and though the Chinese regulatory listing mentions support for WCDMA/HSPA and GSM/GPRS connections, it is believed that it will also work over LTE.

The Lumia 625 is said to be going on sale in China at the end of this month for $325. Though a US release has not been mentioned, it is noted that the device made its way through the FCC last month, with support for AT&T.
