Infinity Blade: Dungeons officially cancelled

updated 11:35 am EDT, Fri July 12, 2013

Apple PR highlight disappears from release schedule

Infinity Blade: Dungeons has been cancelled, Chair Entertainment co-founder Donald Mustard confirms during the latest Epic Games podcast. Work on the title is said to have actually stopped in February, when core developer Impossible Studios closed. Mustard adds, though, that more Infinity Blade content is coming, including games, books, and "maybe even other products."

The Infinity Blade games have proven extremely profitable for Epic. Dungeons, significantly, was a showcase item during Apple's March 2012 press event for the third-generation iPad. The title was an attempt to branch off of the simple mechanics of the first two games, creating a Diablo-style action-RPG.
