Pandora iOS app gets mute/pause suport, better buffering

updated 09:40 am EDT, Tue July 9, 2013

Mobile gets same URLs as website

Music streaming service Pandora has released an update to its iOS app, v4.4. The release makes two significant changes to playback, the first being automatic pausing when a person mutes their device. It also improves buffering, which should smooth out listening over 3G and 4G connections.

Other tweaks are relatively minor, mostly consisting of bugfixes. One difference though is the carryover of all links from the Pandora web app, which should allow people to access the same webpages. Pandora for iOS is a free download, and runs on any device supporting iOS 3 or later.
