Native Mega apps coming soon to iOS, Windows

updated 12:22 pm EDT, Fri July 5, 2013

Android app already available, iOS and Windows to 'follow suit'

Cloud storage service Mega is in the "final stages" of developing native apps for iOS and Windows, according to an official blog post. The company yesterday released an Android app which supports uploading, downloading, and sharing files, folder management, and Dropbox-style automatic camera sync. Mega hasn't said what features the iOS and Windows apps will have, but the iOS title will likely have to limit some features to satisfy Apple rules.

Unlike most cloud storage services, Mega offers users 50GB for free. Paid subscriptions can raise that cap as high as 4TB. The company's founder, Kim Dotcom, has however faced scrutiny from the US government over piracy issues related to Megaupload, Mega's previous incarnation.
