Sources claim iOS 7 beta 3 to be pushed to carriers on July 8

updated 12:13 pm EDT, Fri June 28, 2013

May reach developers on same day

Apple is hoping to push iOS 7 beta 3 to carriers for testing on July 8, sources say. The people who made the claim are said to have accurately predicted the release date of beta 2. If the new claim is accurate, developers could potentially get access to beta 3 on the 8th as well.

The first beta of iOS 7 was released earlier this month, at WWDC 2013; the second release followed two weeks later. July 8 would mark another two weeks, suggesting that Apple is keeping to a strict schedule for new beta seeds. The finished OS is due sometime in the fall, and most commonly expected in September, around the same time as new iPhones, iPods, and iPads.
