Carrier discounts Galaxy Note 8.0 when bought with Samsung smartphones

AT&T has revealed its pricing for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, ahead of its launch on the network on June 21st. The tablet with the 8-inch display and access to the AT&T LTE network will cost $400 with a two-year contract when bought on its own, but the carrier will also be offering it at a discount when bought as part of a bundle.

The price of the Galaxy Note 8.0 drops to $200 when bought alongside a new two-year subscription for either the Galaxy S4, the new Galaxy S4 Active, or the Galaxy Note II, and ultimately means that those taking up the offer will end up paying for two contracts every month rather than the cost of just one. AT&T did not reveal how long the bundle offer will be running for, but did state that Galaxy Note 8.0 purchasers would receive 50GB of free cloud storage in the AT&T Locker.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 uses a quad-core 1.6GHz processor with 2GB of RAM, a rear five-megapixel camera with 1.3-megapixel front-facing counterpart, and 16GB of expandable storage. The display has a resolution of 1280x800, can be automatically adjusted in a new Reading Mode, and comes with the S Pen for hand-written annotations.
