Designer device boasts touch-enabled remote, 29 video partners

Fanhattan and designer Yves Behar have revealed the Fan TV today, a set-top box bringing live TV, cloud DVR and streaming services all together in one place, integrating a touch remote. Coinciding with the launch, Fanhattan is rebranding its free entertainment service "Fan" on iOS and the web. The web app is emerging today from a limited private beta test and is now open to the public.

Fan integrates 29 leading streaming services making more than 100,000 movies and shows available to watch instantly across iOS and the web. On the TV, Fan will be working with many of its existing streaming partners for additional content and leading pay TV providers for live TV and cloud DVR, to bring its service to US living rooms.

Services available on the iOS at launch include content from ABC, NBC, CW, ABC Family, PBS, Lifetime, Crackle, YouTube, TruTV, HBOGO, MaxGO, Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu Plus, iTunes, and Fandango. More content is available on the web-based client, including CBS, mTV, Nickelodeon, Xfinity, Fox, and Adult Swim. Some services require a cable or satellite TV subscription for access.

Pricing for the Fan TV was not immediately available.
