Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 revisits FCC with AT&T LTE connectivity

updated 04:16 am EDT, Wed May 29, 2013

LTE version of Galaxy Note 8.0 could be unveiled on AT&T soon

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has passed through the FCC for testing yet again, this time for certifications related to LTE connectivity. The tested tablet is reportedly a version that will operate on AT&T's 4G LTE network, with the new radio replacing the 3G version seen by the Commission in March, suggesting it could go on sale in the next few months.

It is said by Engadget that the Note 8.0 carried a radio that connects at 850 and 1900MHz over GSM, and also has support for LTE Bands 2, 4, 5, and 17, something which matches AT&T's network pretty closely. It will also be the first release of the Galaxy Note 8.0 in the United States that has cellular access, following on from the earlier release of a version with just Wi-Fi.

The Note 8.0, as seen by Electronista at Mobile World Congress, has a 1280x800 enabled for Wacom-based S Pen input, a quad-core A9 processor running at 1.6GHz with 2GB of RAM, and a 4,600 mAh battery.
