Pandora iOS app gains new Facebook sharing features
Pandora has updated its iOS app with Facebook Open Graph support, allowing users to share their listening activity directly on the social network. A new "Publish" option has been added to the settings of the iOS app and the web-based player, allowing users to share music from wherever they are. Users are also provided with a number of controls that let them customize what information is shared. Finally, the update also offers an enhanced track menu that can be used to create a new station, as well as share, purchase, and bookmark music.
OmniGroup outs new document syncing service
OmniPresence, a new syncing service that uses the same underlying document coordination as Versions, has been released by OmniGroup. The new architecture lets a supported app know when a document has been changed on another device, and then double-checks to make sure it always syncs a current and complete copy of any documents that are being edited. OmniPresence has also been designed to support document syncing within teams and is built on top of open web server standards allowing it to be implemented on a personal web server. As the company isn't sure how much extra traffic will be generated by OmniPresence, it is slowly being rolled out to customers. Anyone who has checked the "I am brave" box at sync.omnigroup.com should already have access, and anyone else who checks that box will be given priority access.
