Facebook Share Dialog for iOS ready; Chromium Mac gets app launcher

updated 06:29 pm EDT, Mon May 20, 2013

Should simplify sharing from Facebook-connected apps

Facebook has brought a native Share Dialog for iOS out of beta via an updated SDK, v3.5.1. The change means that third-party iOS 6 apps will be able to share activity to Facebook without always requiring a login first. People should also be able to tag friends from within those apps.

Google, meanwhile, has brought the Chrome OS app launcher to OS X via the latest Mac edition of Chromium. The option has to be turned on using a "-show-app-list" switch, but lets people quickly launch apps downloaded through the Chrome Web Store. The feature has been in the Windows Chrome beta since February, but will likely only be pushed to the final Windows, Mac, and Linux versions of Chrome in v28 or 29.
