Larger version of Samsung tablet appears weeks after 7-inch version launched
An eight-inch version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 has apparently surfaced, with rendered images accompanying a list of specifications. The alleged leaked details come after the company revealed the third generation of its popular line of tablets, though that uses a more conventional 7-inch display and smaller form factor than what has now appeared.
The image picked up by SamMobile offers no real information regarding the scale of the tablet, with it looking remarkably similar to the 7-inch model. Specifications for the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 are said to include 16GB of storage, a 1280x800 TFT display, and a rear-facing 5-megapixel camera with a front-facing 1.3-megapixel version for video calling. Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, and 3G connectivity are also included, as well as a 4,450mAh battery and a faster 1.5GHz dual-core processor.
It is claimed that Samsung will reveal this larger iteration of the Galaxy Tab 3 sometime next month.
