UPS ports iOS tracking, scheduling app to iPad

updated 06:05 pm EDT, Thu May 16, 2013

App long stuck as iPhone-only

Shipping service UPS has launched a native iPad version of its iOS app. An iPhone app has been available for some time, but has never been updated to be universal. Both titles let people track up to five shipments simultaneously, which are displayed on a map.

Via GPS the app can be used to find nearby UPS offices. Some other features, meanwhile, require signing into a My Choice account. This lets people sync tracking with the UPS website, nickname shipments, and take some actions with incoming packages, such as rerouting or rescheduling. The app supports any iPad running iOS 5 or later.
