Prizmo now Universal app

Creaceed has released the next major version of its Prizmo iOS app, complete with an all new user interface and support for PDF files. Version 2.0 is now a Universal app, working on both the iPhone and iPad, and offers iCloud integration for automatically syncing documents between multiple devices. The document scanner has also been improved with automatic frame detection when taking images, as well as enhanced tools for better corner positioning when cropping. Other new features includes 30 new OCR languages, voice guidance for positioning documents within the camera's line of sight, and multipage document handling. For the next few days Prizmo 2 will be offered at the discounted price of $6, after which it will rise to $10.

LightSpeed updates iPad companion app

An updated version of LightSpeed's self-titled point of sale software for the iPad has been launched in the App Store. By making use of the Genius platform, LightSpeed 1.4 is now capable of accepting a wide variety of payments such as Google Wallet and LevelUp. LightSpeed's Canadian customers can also now integrated an iPad into their POS systems thanks to new support for money payment processing in Canada. Additionally, support has been added for the Magtek uDynamo encrypted card reader and the Socket SDK has been updated for improved scanner connectivity.
