iOS, Android FiOS apps update with remote control, DVR scheduling

Optional push notifications for billing, outages

Verizon has updated the iOS and Android versions of My FiOS, an app supporting the company's fiber service. Both apps have integrated important FiOS TV functions, namely TV listings, DVR scheduling, and a remote control. Previously the app's video functions were limited to watching video on demand.

The app has also gained a better Verizon Support tool, for instance including a Voice Assistant function. A new option toggles push notifications for issues like billing alerts and service outages. Both the iOS and Android apps are free downloads, but require a FiOS subscription.
