Nova unveils Mac SuperBundle, includes Parallels 8, more

updated 03:05 am EDT, Thu May 2, 2013

Nine apps valued at over $400 for $49 in latest bundle deal

Another Mac-centric shareware bundle deal has popped up, with Nova Development offering a new Mac SuperBundle deal celebrating Spring. The offer includes nine commercial and shareware programs with a total value of $413 for $49. The most prominent program in the bundle, Parallels Desktop 8 for Mac, sells by itself for $80 at retail. Other programs include TextExpander (normally $35), RapidWeaver 5 (normally $80), Circus Ponies Notebook ($50) and other Mac software.

The promotion, which kicked off on Wednesday, features the latest version of Parallels -- a virtual environment that allows users to install and operate various versions of Windows, Linux and other operating systems seamlessly on the Mac. RapidWeaver is a website-building program that relies on templates and plug-ins, Circus Ponies Notebook is a desktop organizer, MacGo's Mac Blu-Ray Player is an interface to allow users to hook up a Blu-Ray drive and use it for data and movie playback, Lighten Software's PDF to Word converter for Mac takes the text out of PDF documents and converts it back into an editable text document.

Also in the bundle is Hyperbolic Software's maintenance app Tidy Up, Font Explosion Volume 1 (which offers 500 royalty-free TrueType fonts) and Hyperbolic's Smart Trash, which supplements the trash in OS X with clean-up, uninstall and organizational features. All titles are compatible with Mountain Lion (OS X 10.8). The promotion will run for just 14 days.

Wow, another bundle with Parallels in it. Oh look, and Rapid Weaver too. Again.

I really do love buying bundles, but they keep making it easier and easier for me to say no.

I completely agree with you, but for those people who may already have those but could still use Textexpander or CPN, it's still worthwhile.
