HTC M4 mid-range smartphone leaked with One design cues

Mid-range HTC 'M4' surfaces, looks like an HTC 'One mini'

Serial, but reliable leaker @evleaks, has uncovered a press shot for a forthcoming HTC handset carrying the codename 'M4'. From its appearance, the M4 takes its design cues directly from its flagship stable mate the HTC One, which carried the 'M7' designation before its official launch. Although it is likely to be priced at a tier below the HTC One, the device retains the same level of build quality, but centers on a smaller 4.3-inch display.

However, in addition to attention to design detail, there is enough quality componentry in the device to help it appeal to users looking for a high-end Android device, but with a smaller footprint. Its 4.3-inch display has a 720p resolution, while it also incorporates an unspecified Snapdragon dual-core processor matched with 2GB of RAM.

Internal storage is set at just 16GB of RAM, however, which is also non-expandable like its completely sealed big brother. Similarly, the battery is not removable, but packs a respectable 1700mAh. HTC is also said to be persisting with its UltraPixel tech, incorporating a lower megapixel camera, possibly the same as the HTC One, but which focuses on delivering more light to its sensor.

The HTC 'M4' is expected to debut before the end of Q2, and will ship with support for 4G LTE and run Android 4.2 'Jelly Bean.' [via Phone Arena]
