Twitter has updated its official iOS app to v5.6, making some significant tweaks. Above all is the the ability to see trending topics according to location, whether nearby or in other cities around the world. Retweeting has also received some attention, as replies to retweets will now include the identities for both people involved.
Twitter has meanwhile improved playback of Vine videos, and enabled inviting new Twitter users from within the app. Bugfixes and miscellaneous smaller improvements should smooth out the app's functions. As normal, the app is a free download for devices running iOS 5 or later.
