27-inch iMac cut to $2,899
This week, MacMall.com has lowered the price on the 27-inch iMac from $2,949 down to $2,899 with free shipping. That's a savings of $49, making this the lowest price on this iMac brand new. It's a $49 savings, but it includes a $200 upgrade from 8 to 16 MB. Since you could add 8 MB for less than $100 (the 27" iMac has four easily-accessible slots), this more than wipes out the discount.
