Total count of OS X compatible games climbs to 134
Digital games distributor Good Old Games has added 22 Mac OS X games to their 500+ game catalog. With this, which the company calls a "Massive Mac Games Drop," the total number of OSX games on the service has climbed to 134, after having made games for the Mac available since the middle of October.
Games added to the service at varying price points are Crusasder No Regret, Wing Commander 3, Populous 2, Psychonauts, Ground Control 2: Special Edition, Ultima 8: Gold Edition, Torchlight, Gemini Rue, Resonance, The 7th Guest, Duke Nukem Manhattan Project, Hocus Pocus, Lords of the Realm: Royal Edition, Pinball Gold Pack, Space Colony HD, Cannon Fodder, Sniper Elite: Berlin 1945, Stronghold HD, Primordia, Stronghold Crusader HD, Total Annihilation Commander Pack, and Total Annihilation: Kingdoms. Games previously purchased for Windows are able to have a Mac OS X version downloaded as well, if available.
The games are a mix of custom DOSBox wrappers and native code, depending on the age of the software. GOG.com representatives have announced support for OSX 10.6.8 Snow Leopard and greater on Intel-based Macs. System specifications vary per title.
