Rumor: Google, LG plans 32GB Nexus 4 with LTE, CDMA

updated 06:21 am EDT, Mon April 22, 2013

Android smartphone to catch up with other flagship devices

Google is working to manufacture a 32GB version of the Nexus 4 with LTE support, according to a rumor. The smartphone built with LG, will reportedly receive a boost in storage from the 8GB and 16GB models already available, along with the speedy 4G LTE connectivity seen in other flagship smartphones.

The rumor from Sidhtech also mentions that it will have added support for CDMA, instead of just having GSM. This would expand the device's range from being usable on carriers AT&T and T-Mobile to include Sprint and Verizon, increasing its potential customer base.

The Nexus 4 32GB with LTE will allegedly be revealed at Google I/O in May. Other things that could potentially surface at the time include Android 5.0, named Key Lime Pie, Google Glass units, the Nexus 5 and an outside chance for Google-owned Motorola to show off its fabled X Phone.
