Pixuru launches digital image printing service
Pixuru has released a new app for iOS devices that allows customers to order framed prints of their own photos. The free app provides users with a number of print options, including canvas, wood, metal, and framed, as well as the option to create larger three or four panel prints. Users are also given the option to choose the size of the print, ranging from 6x6 up to 30x40 inches. Prices for each print are dependant on size and material, but includes free two day shipping within the US.
FDA approves vision testing app
The FDA has given approval to Vital Art and Science to begin marketing a new iOS app that allows people with degenerative eye conditions to monitor their vision at home. While not designed as a replacement for regular doctor visits, myVisionTrack, gives patients the ability to keep tabs on their vision between visits with their eye doctor. Currently, the FDA clearance only applies to the software when running on an iPhone 4S. As a result, myVisionTrack is not being made available in the App Store and must be loaded onto a device by the company.
