Windows Phone 8 smartphone includes Cinemagraph, Here apps

T-Mobile will be bringing the Nokia Lumia 521 to the United States, sometime in May. The entry-level Windows Phone 8 handset, bearing more than a passing resemblance to the Lumia 520 unveiled by the manufacturer at Mobile World Congress in February, will be able to connect to T-Mobile's 4G network.

Bearing a four-inch IPS touch-screen display, the Lumia 521 has a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and 720p HD video recording capabilities. Included apps include Nokia Music, Cinemagraph, Creative Studio, Panorama, Smart Shoot, and Here Drive, Maps and Transit. Though not mentioned, if it is a variant of the Lumia 520, it could possibly be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor running at 1GHz with 512MB of RAM, and 8GB of storage expandable by microSD.

Exact pricing and availability of the Lumia 521 will be revealed in the future, but it has been confirmed it will be available through T-Mobile retail, Microsoft Stores, and Walmart.
