Scrolling navigation bar, new search grids
After brief downtime this morning, Apple has updated its online store with some touch-friendly interface changes, making the site easier to browse on a device like an iPhone or iPad. The core difference is the addition of a scrolling navigation bar for each product category, which people on iOS devices can swipe through to see and select different items. Other changes include bigger, grid-based search results with touch elements for some products.
Apple does have a native iOS app for the Apple Store, but it doesn't work in every country, has a retail focus, and also lacks many of the sections of the website. The company is likely continuing efforts to reduce dependence on desktops, in light of its "post-PC" agenda.

iPad app?
They have an iPhone app. An iPad app would be nice too.
