CrushFTPdrive added, over 35 bug fixes in new edition

Veteran FTP administration and file-serving software CrushFTP has been updated to version 6.3. The new update offers many changes and improvements, and fixes numerous bugs. A primary new feature is CrushFTP Drive for Enterprise, which allows users to connect directly to CrushFTP as a normal network server in either OS X or Windows.

The list of changes is lengthy, and includes the CrushFTPDrive feature, support for multiple VFS configurations per user, a VFS expiration option, support for folder icon previews to display contained images, additional email templates, and improved logging data from client protocols. It also includes a DMZ server mode performance and reliability improvements, MD4 hashing support on passwords, empty folder tracking for synchronization, TLS 1.1 and 1.2 protocol fixes, and support for MiniURLs in DMZ server mode, amongst many other changes.

Bugs squashed in this release include client date parsing problems, PGP key loading fixes, proper tags on HTML emails, several WebDAV improvements, repairs to many UI issues, and the addition of additional localization variable items.

The update for CrushFTP 6.2 is free to existing 6.x users. The program offers different pricing and abilities related to its target market, with the Home version retailing for $40 and the Enterprise edition going for $100. Some features in the Enterprise version (such as the newly added CrushFTPDrive) are not available in the Home or Small Business versions.
