EVE Online to get 19th expansion in June

CCP Games has announced that its massively multiplayer game EVE Online will receive its 19th free expansion in June. Officially slated for release on June 4, EVE Online: Odyssey will introduce a brand new scanning mechanic, an updated interface, and a variety of new rewards for finding and interacting with sites hidden among the stars. Additional details regarding Odyssey will be released in the coming months, including the EVE Fanfest in April, where CCP has promised to outline all of the upcoming EVE Universe plans.

New SDK and Unity plug-in gives developers access to Sphero AR features

Orbotix has expanded third-party development options for its Sphero hardware through the introduction of a new augmented reality SDK and a Unity-based plug-in. Together, the AR SDK and Unity plug-in provide developers with all of the tools necessary for developing new augmented reality-based games for the robotic toy. The plug-in acts as a bridge between Unity and the iOS SDK, and provides vision detection by automatically coordinating the camera and ball position, distance, orientation and more. While currently restricted to iOS development, Orbotix has also promised that an upcoming update will add support for it's Android SDK.
