Autodesk launches three education iPad apps
Autodesk has released three new iPad apps that have been designed to extend its online Digital STEAM curriculum portal. The first app, Autodesk Digital STEAM Applied Mechanics, is an iPad app that uses game-based learning techniques to teach players the basic principles of applied mechanics. Five interrelated topics, including Energy and Work, Force, Power, Loading, and Mechanisms, are covered within the app, each offering its own definitions and practical applications. In addition, Autodesk also released the Digital STEAM Visual Design app and the Digital STEAM Measurement app. All three apps are iPad exclusives and can be downloaded from the App Store for free.
Acase releases Citta for iPhone 5
The Citta, a new case designed for the iPhone 5, has been released by Acase. The hardshell case provides full body protection for the device, and uses a slide-in design for quick installation. The Citta is built from a combination of metallic fibre and polycarbonate materials, and offers a textured back for improved grip. Five color options, gray, blue, dark blue, pink and silver, are available for purchase from both Amazon and the Acase online store for $25.
