Pear Note updated on iOS and Mac
Useful Fruit Software has announced the launch of updates for both iOS and Mac versions of its Pear Note app. The note taking app expands past text-based notes by adding support for integrating audio, videos, and slides into notes, and sorting all of the information into a single timeline. The v2.1 iOS update has added the ability to insert images into the text of their notes directly from the device's camera, or by selecting a picture from the photo library. Meanwhile, Pear Note for Mac has gained full Retina support, as well as support for the new file format used in the iOS version that allows for the inclusion of images.
ampjacket now available for iPad mini and iPod
New versions of the ampjacket, an acoustic amplifier case for iOS devices, have been released for the iPad mini and fifth gen iPod touch. Kubxlab claims that the case's design is capable of doubling the volume of the device's built-in speaker without the need for external power or batteries. The cases are available in a variety of colors, and do not hinder the use of any of the device's ports or buttons. Additionally, the iPad mini model has been designed to work with Apple's Smart Cover. Both iPod touch and iPad mini cases can be ordered online for $25 and $40 respectively.
