Dropbox 2.0 for Mac adds new drop-down interface

updated 04:10 pm EDT, Tue March 12, 2013

Streamlines sharing process

Cloud storage service Dropbox has released a significant update of its Mac client, bringing the software up to v2.0. The core change is the addition of a new drop-down interface, as accessed from the Menu Bar. The app should now also offer faster filesharing, including the ability to accept or reject shared files from the software, instead of having to visit dropbox.com.

The Mac update parallels a similar one for Windows. A new iOS update is expected soon, but is still unavailable as of this writing.
