Staples to carry Apple gear at US retail by end of quarter

Sales currently only online
Staples will start selling Apple products at US retail by the end of the current quarter, Reuters reports. CEO Ronald Sargent revealed the information today as his company announced fourth-quarter results. Staples began selling Apple products in the US in late February, but so far only via its website.
The vendor has sold Apple products outside the US for some time, but only completed an American deal this year. It's not clear if retail stock will differ from Staples' online selection, where the only options are peripherals and accessories, not flagship products like Macs, iPhones, or iPads. Rivals such as Best Buy carry a full complement.
