Briefly: Nexus 7 dock on Google Play, Office 2013 transfer

updated 08:39 pm EST, Wed March 6, 2013

Long delayed Nexus 7 dock appears on Google Play store

The long-absent Nexus 7 docking station has finally surfaced on Google Play for purchase. The dock charges the tablet by way of the device's pogo pins, and also has a 3.5mm audio-out jack. It does not, however, synchronize through the microUSB plug. The dock is available only in black, and sells for $30 on the Google Play store and other online retailers in the US, Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan, and the UK. Google has established a limit of two docks per customer.

Microsoft revises Office 2013 terms of service with easier transfer rules

Microsoft has announced in a blog post that it is changing the Office 2013 retail license policy. The company will not allow users to transfer a license from the computer it was originally installed on until at least 90 days have gone by, barring hardware failure. The previous restriction of installation on only one computer at a time still stands. Additionally, Microsoft allows the software to be transferred to a computer owned by someone else, assuming the transferrer is the "first licensed user" and the new user agrees to the terms of the agreement before the transfer.
