Keyboard support extends to aTV Flash features
Developer FireCore has released updated versions of aTV Flash (black) and Seas0nPass for people hoping to jailbreak Apple TVs running the new v5.2 firmware. While Seas0nPass is simply the required jailbreaking utility, aTV Flash adds new functions, such as web browsing and wider format compatibility. FireCore notes that the Bluetooth keyboard support in v5.2 carries over to Flash's features.
The company has also made improvements to backups and DVD playback, and fixed several bugs. The aTV Flash program costs $30, and works only with the second-generation (black) Apple TV units, not the more recent third-gen units with 1080p support. To install the new version FireCore recommends running a backup, using Seas0nPass to update an Apple TV to v5.2, downloading aTV Flash (black) 2.2, configuring extras, and then restoring settings from the earlier backup.
