Sony Xperia SP compared to Xperia V in leaked images

updated 06:28 am EST, Thu February 7, 2013

Both phones share height, SP appears wider

Images of the upcoming Android Jelly Bean Sony Xperia SP have leaked online. The photographs compares the handset, identified by the model number C530x and codenamed HuaShan, to the current Xperia V, and shows they are roughly the same in terms of length, though the Xperia SP is slightly wider than it's predecessor.

Appearing on German forum Android-Hilfe, the images show the Xperia SP as having a 720p HD display that appears to be slightly bigger than the Xperia V's 4.3-inch screen, as well as a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor supported by Adreno 320 graphics. Oddly, the Xperia SP appears to have a non-removable battery, though it is not clear what it's capacity is.

Details relating to a launch or release have not been revealed as of yet, though more information could come to light at Mobile World Congress later this month.
