Unifies content in streams

Twitter is today updating the search and discovery features in its iOS and Android apps, as well as mobile.twitter.com. Under the Discover tab, all content should now appear in a single stream, including tweets, trends, and suggested people to follow. Tappable previews for activity and trends should appear at the top of the tab.

Search results have likewise been merged into a single stream which attempts to surface the most relevant content. The Twitter iPhone app has also gained a dedicated Search button, paralleling an existing one in the Android and iPad apps.

Under the Connect tab, the default view has been switched to Interactions, which contains followers, mentions, and retweets. The tab can be switched to mentions only via settings. Tapping a link, lastly should now jump directly to a website from any timeline, instead of requiring people to expand the host tweet first.
