CrushFTP updated to version 6.2, offers many changes, fixes

Builds on move to web-based interface, plug-in architecture
FTP administration and file-serving software CrushFTP has been updated to version 6.2, building on and addressing issues with the earlier release that moved the program entirely to a web-based interface and introduced client applications, multimedia support, PGP encryption, multiple admin capability and more. The new update offers many changes and improvements, and fixes numerous bugs. The CrushSync real-time sync engine has been redesigned to use the web interface, and CrushTask has been extensively improved.
The list of changes is extensive, but includes adding support to update user managers in batch mode, adding support for Cut/Copy/Paste with VFS, adding support for looking up user emails in a group, multiple reverse proxy servers, re-captcha (requires a Google re-captcha account to use, however), EXIF data viewing and editing, and HTML editor for emails and much more. CrushSync can now start synchronizing a file while it is still being updated, and now uses a "more straightforward file synchronization mode [that requires] less DB interaction.
Session and job history information are now preserved through server restarts, the Tunnel function can now handle throughput speeds over 1Gbit, and TempAccounts admin controls have been added. CrushTask has gained find/replace editing capability, SQL query support, file parsing for CSV or fixed text files, and the ability to find deleted items by comparing search results to the last cache. CrushTask also now adds support for POP and IMAP folder structures and for adding unique GUID values as variables. CrushTask's Copy command can now copy a file with a unique name, supports ASCII mode and also supports a limited "simple" mode for bad FTP servers.
VFS is now able to handle more complex scenarios, SSH key authentication when connecting to remote servers and handle client certificate authorization requests for FTPES when connected to remote servers. It is also now more robust at handling bad FTP servers, and has additional logging capabilities. Logged-on users are refreshed when a save is done in the user manager, preventing the need to logout, and the ability to have a list of results for custom form fields to assist users in entering correct data is now available.
Also added was the ability to have uploads auto-start, restricted to specific file extensions, and a QuickShare feature for after an upload is completed. For OS X users, the Advanced mode now has a better file chooser, and the OS X info.plist file is preserved across application updates. AS2 MDN responses are now written to a file, and AS2 is now compatible with more servers. A long list of additional enhancements can be found here.
The update also tackles a number of bugs, fixing an issue with reverse HTTPS tunnels not working, adding stability to deleting and creating internal shares and resolving a problem in detecting insufficient privileges on Windows for installing service. Bugs have been addressed in UTF8 mode for email, URL handling in VFS, IP banning, DMZ and CrushSync mode, IE10 compatibility, and a number of issues with the User Info panel in the web interface along with several areas of CrushTask.
The update for CrushFTP 6.2 is free to existing 6.x users. The program offers different pricing and abilities related to its target market, with the Home version retailing for $40 and the Enterprise edition going for $100. Some features are not available in the Home or Small Business versions.
