RadioShack discounts iPhone 5 purchases

RadioShack has started a new promotion that allows customers to save $25 on the purchase of an AT&T or Sprint iPhone 5. The promotion will run until February 14 and applies to both new purchases and hardware upgrades for any iPhone 5 model. In addition to this deal, RadioShack's Trade and Save program is also offering up to $250 to customers who choose to trade in a working iPhone 4S, or as much as $150 for a working iPhone 4.

Model A Raspberry Pi now available

Starting today customers can order the Model A Raspberry Pi from RS Compnents and Remier Farnell/element 14 in Europe. The Model A is a stripped-down variant of the Model B Raspberry Pi, with no Ethernet, one USB port, and 256MB of RAM. Because of these differences, the Model A carries a slightly lower price tag, $25, and uses about a third of the power that the Model B requires. RS customers outside Europe can order a Model A now, but there will be a short delay in processing the order.
