Vine addresses log-in security issues with update

Following some initial launch issues, Vine has updated its iOS app that allows users to share short videos through Twitter. Most importantly, the update resolves a security sign-in error that was signing some people into other users' accounts, and letting them post under that handle. The update also adds support for changing a profile picture from the Camera Roll, and improves support for international keyboards. Finally, a character limit for usernames and the bio field has been added and several crashes have been resolved.

Google updates two iOS apps

Google has released updates for two of its iOS apps, Google Currents and YouTube Capture. Google Currents, an app that delivers magazine-styled publications directly to iOS devices has reached v2.0 and now features an edition sidebar for quick access to different publications. The update also includes a new catalog design, as well as fast scan option that lets users scan an entire edition with a vertical swipe, and flip between editions with horizontal swipes. Meanwhile, the v1.2 update of YouTube Capture adds support for full 1080p uploads. Google also claims that audio syncing has been improved and that more detailed upload feedback is now provided.
