Clip reverses inventor's view on future 'social impact' of computing
The widely-publicized first scene released from Ashton Kutcher's jOBS biographical feature on Steve Jobs is said to be "not close" to the actual relationship between Jobs and Stephen Wozniak, according to Wozniak himself. The film will be shown at the Sundance Film Festival, with Kutcher and co-star Josh Gad appearing at the Macworld conference next week to promote the picture.
The clip shows an alleged seminal moment between the pair, with Jobs learning about the computer that Wozniak was able to build, and the future CEO seeing the implications for the future. Wozniak's comment on Gizmodo says of the clip that Jobs and he "never had such interaction and roles" and he was "not even sure what [the film is] getting at." He also calls the personalities "very wrong" with Gad's portrayal being closer than Kutcher's of Jobs'.
Wozniak closed the remark by saying that "my purpose was inspired by the values of the Homebrew Computer Club along with ideas of the value of such machines and Steve J. wasn't around and didn't attend the club so he was the one learning about such social impact of the future."
The jOBS biopic is the first of two Apple-inspired biographies both conceived and written after Jobs' death. The second feature is being written by The West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin and isn't expected until 2014 at the earliest.

Huh?
Just watched this trailer - not surprisingly, all I saw was a TERRIBLE performance by a pathetic actor (if we may qualify Mr Kutcher as such, of course) - just proof that Hollywood is, among other things, a good job creator for those sharing a certain religious allegiance and little else...he looks physically like SJ - other than that, the choice couldn't have been WORSE.
As for the guy interpreting Woz, he is just a nobody - where is Mr Wyle when one needs him?
