Washington Post updates Slate
The Washington Post has released a new version of its Slate app for the iPad. Slate is a daily digital magazine that includes stories relating to politics, news, and culture, all optimized for reading on the iPad. From the home screen user's can see all of the current top stories, as well as browse through the most recent and most popular stories. In addition to news stories, Slate also provides quick access to several daily podcasts, including the Political Gabfest, the Culture Gabfest, and Hang Up and Listen. Version 2.0.1 includes numerous bug fixes for iOS 5 users, as well as general stability fixes. In addition, support for Urban Airship push notifications has been added.
ZooGue now taking pre-orders for iPad mini Case Genius
An iPad mini version of ZooGue's Case Genius has been released. Made from genuine leather, the ZooGue iPad mini Case Genius is designed to be positioned at various angles through the use of a built-in Velcro stand. The case provides full protection to the device, without inhibiting access to any of the devices ports, cameras, or buttons. Support for the iPad's magnetic sleep/wake functionality is also built-into the cases screen cover. The iPad mini Case Genius can be preordered online for $40 and is expected to being shipping on January 21.
