iLine cables set to launch in February

IK Multimedia has made several new announcements regarding its line of mobile audio products at CES 2013. Most importantly, the company is expanding into the Android market though the introduction of iRig Recorder for Android. The $5 app will be available on the Google Play Store at the end of the month and will allow users to record audio using the device's built in mic, or any of IK Multimedia's 3.5mm recording devices. This includes the iRig Mic, iRig Mic Cast, iRig Pre, and the portable DJ mixer iRig Mix. A free version of iRig Recorder will also be offered, providing the same recording, level-optimization and export features as the full version, but limiting editing and processing features.

The company has also shown their new iLine music cable kit that includes 6 different audio cables. The kit features a mono output adapter, input output extension, stereo aux, headphone splitter, RCA output adapter, and mono out splitter. The iLine Mobile Music Cable Kit will be priced at $60 and will include all six cables as well as a free travel case. Individual cables will also be sold with costs ranging between $15 and $25 per cable. All six of the cables are slated to begin shipping February of this year.
