Users say menus disappearing from some Apple TVs

The movie and/or the TV show menus are disappearing on some Apple TVs, users are complaining on Apple's support forums. Although the issue was first brought to light by people in the UK, subsequent posts to the forums and Twitter indicate trouble in the US, France, Ireland, and Australia. Apple's system status page doesn't mention any outages.
One person on Apple's forums says that he contacted the company about the problem, and that while restoring his Apple TV didn't work, support staff informed him that the glitch is a known issue. Apple is upgrading its systems, the staff claimed, and missing menu icons should return soon. Stores should still be working in the US and Luxembourg, staff added.
