Markzware debuts PageZephyr version 3

updated 08:05 pm EST, Wed December 12, 2012

Search engine indexes and catalogs desktop publishing files

Digital publishing software developer Markzware has announced the release of PageZephyr version 3, a stand-alone desktop search engine that reduces the risk of losing valuable electronic information by helping to manage voluminous amounts of legacy files. The application indexes files for retrieval without the need for the original desktop publishing applications used to generate the files.

PageZephyr supports documents generated in the latest versions of today's most popular layout applications. Version 3 is now compatible with Adobe InDesign CS6 and QuarkXPress 9 documents for both Mac and Windows platforms, as well as continued support for Microsoft Publisher.

Features of the search engine include content easily indexed from within Mac storage volumes, edit content from search results within a convenient storyboard window, extract content from multiple documents simultaneously, export content to rich text format RTF or a plain text TXT file, publish and distribute content to the internet using output options to blog sites. PageZephyr supports Microsoft Publisher 2002 through 2010, QuarkXPress versions 4 through 8 and InDesign CS through CS6 files.

PageZephyr requires an Intel-based Mac with 4GB of RAM running OS X 10.6.8 or greater. The application is available from the Markzware website for $99.
