iPhone 5 shipping times down to one week in some countries

US still stuck at two weeks

iPhone 5 shipping times at Apple's online store have been reduced down to one week in some countries. So far Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore are known to have improved times, and other countries may as well. US and Canadian shipping times, though, are still listed at two weeks, a reversal of the normal situation.

Typically Apple prioritizes the North American market, since that's where the majority of its sales stem from. The UK, France, and Germany are also still stuck at the two-week mark. In many cases the most efficient way of getting an iPhone 5 is to go into a retail store, but it may be important to go in the morning to get a choice of models, or in some cases any version of the device.
